AlphaTouch Vs. Whoo Intercom
AlphaTouch’s hardware is manufactured by Akuvox; the same manufacturer of Whoo Intercom. Akuvox’s hardware is durable, easy to install, and the 7” screen, high video resolution and 3M pixel front facing camera make it a leading competitor for video intercom systems.
AlphaTouch uses their own operating system to allow residents to connect their smartphones to the front entrance intercom via the AlphaTouch app. Reviews indicate that the app is highly unreliable and does not work as expected. While Whoo was designed to be intuitive and easy to use, the AlphaTouch interface is not as user friendly.
With Whoo Intercom, residents have the added benefit of a one-way video, so that visitors can not see where the resident is answering the call from. Since Whoo allows residents to answer their front door from anywhere this feature helps keep the resident and the building safe.
